We've practiced everyday this week...solo's, struts, modeling, and two-baton. Now we travel to South Bend, IN for baton twirling's most prestigious event of the year, at the University of Notre Dame.
There's no twirling spectacular quite like AYOP (America's Youth on Parade.) It brings together the best baton twirlers, teams and corps in the world for a series of National and World Open Championship contests - all under one umbrella. It can be appropriately called the "World Series of Baton Twirling."
Our fearless leader, Debbie Johnson, has our team, Hoosier Debs, ready for a week of competition against the best baton twirlers in the nation.
I'll keep you posted of our scores...
I can't do a five turn?!
ReplyDeleteBut I can make a three point turn around in my car.
Each person has to celebrate their own little successes (heheheh).

This photo is priceless! And the question you pose is surprisingly common in the competitive twirling world!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about your beautiful twirling girls.
