All of us have images in our hearts.  Our emotional lives are rich with the images of those we love.  Our early experiences with love and loss are impressed on our imaginations.  We go back over and over in memory to those experiences. 

Poetry is not just words or information, but what's underneath the ordinary or inside it, or passing through it.
