"...they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

Read those lines again. 

The rhythm, the tempo, the energy of the words themselves seem to rise up.  I am elevated by the movement of the very words themselves.  I was intended to be elevated by those words.

YOU are intended to be elevated by them.

They are God's words to us for those weary, sodden times when absolutely nothing, no one short of  'the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth' can help.

Thought:

God knows our fatigue.   He knows our every need and is attentive to the exhaustion that overwhelms us.  Maybe all we can do right today is to be expectant.  He makes us expectant if we give Him half a chance.
