My thoughts on the blessings that come from lectio divina

I notice when my heart is touched by a lectio encounter and I sense that God is summoning me into a new place --- I don't necessarily know what the 'new' revelation will be, it is more often an intuition.

Sometimes it happens while I'm teaching and have expressed something in a new way.  I am surprised by my own words or someone may ask a probing question which breaks open the very point the Lord has whispered to my heart.  These are moments of divine invitation and lectio helps me to respond.

I feel myself moving from

studying to savouring,

from explaining to experiencing, from

probing to being probed, and from

mastering to being transformed.
