Many of them are great for deepening your own spiritual walk with God on a daily basis.
Studying the Word of God is one of the most important things we can do to deepen our relationship with Him.
It is the only way that we can truly begin the process of developing the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5).
It is as we study what God has already said, that we better prepare ourselves to hear the words He speaks to us every day through His Holy Spirit. These are the very Words that renew our minds to be in line with His.
Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
- Ephesians 4:22-24 (NLT)
I use these eight simple questions/statements to guide my daily study time. They can also be used in a group setting. They seem simplistic, but I promise you'll be blessed.

2. Choose the major person or persons in the passage and note any information that adds to your knowledge about them.
3. Ask and answer 'who, what, where, when, why, and how' regarding the passage.
4. Search for parallel verses and cross references that relate to your passage.
5. Write a brief paraphrase of the passage in your own words.
6. Ask how the passage will impact your life. Answer with a statement beginning with 'I will' or 'I am'
