Cleaning Out My Closet

My closet.
My other self in a perfect world.

The largest section: white T-shirts
Another smaller section: blue jeans (all folded and straight). Everything is neatly arranged on a padded hanger and color coordinated: shirts w/ shirts, skirts w/ skirts, etc. My shoes are side by side, neatly arranged by heel gender, waiting to be picked by me.

Now that spring has FINALLY peeked it's head around the Kentucky corner, taking inventory of my closet is definitely in order.

This past weekend, I decided to purge some things that are no longer welcome in my wardrobe. For a few of the garments I found myself asking, "What was I thinking when I bought this?" and "Was this ever in style?" Those bygone precious items have all been bagged up and loaded in the hatchback of my car for a trip to Goodwill.

I'm lucky though, I live with three teenage girls who regularly give their fashion opinion on my apparel. In some situations I plead for leniency: early morning breakfast finery and summer yard attire.

So, if your plans include an overall closet remake for spring, be sure to hang on to two of my favorite's. A Gap white T-shirt and a perfect pair of Levi's. Yehhhhhhh.
