Good morning! I am starting a little late. My Dad came into town to help me as I moved through this difficult week. I invited him to join me for my Saturday morning routine. As we were talking about it, my sister mentioned that she was going to be in the area. So here I sit with my family.
This week my children and I had some very pointed conversations about how God never changes. With the introduction of new information, they were likely to go through a myriad of emotions: happy, sad, excited, confused, angry, indifferent. . . The discussion was that emotions ebb and flow. God and Scriptural truth remains constant. Then we talked about the team that God created for them. The list of members were me, each other, Papa, Grandma, Grosma, Aunts, Uncles, Friends. . . It was refreshment to say aloud all of the people that God has assembled around us.
I love the constant. I love the dependable.
Speaking of dependable. . . If you have been reading, I recently posted an article called,"Does this make my butt look big?" It was a salute to the friends who tell us the truth- specifically Scriptural Truth. In combination of prayer, meditation, and counsel of Godly sisters, I had it pointed out to me that the skirt of not listening made my spiritual butt look big because it accentuated my pride saddle bags. I also noticed the jeans of fear drew attention to the extra weight of my lack of submission.
It is easy to blame our looks on the clothing we use to cover up. But when it comes down to it, the problem is what we are covering.
Thank you to my B. B. F.'s this week. Not only do you say Truth, but you work out with me to get rid of the unScriptural weight.
