from my music guru friend Lynda...

(born September 27, 1982)

is a piano-playing pop/rock, singer/songwriter. Playing piano since early childhood, McLaughlin grew up in Anderson, Indiana. He didn't want to take piano lessons anymore and was always finding ways to get out of doing so. While attending Highland High School, McLaughlin shattered both wrists in an accident that interrupted his musical expression. Rediscovering "his muse," McLaughlin attended Anderson University to study music.

Indiana is McLaughlin's debut album and it was released on May 1, 2007 in the United States. The album was preceded by "Industry", and the official first single, "Beautiful Disaster." It managed to reach number 28 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 Tracks. The album itself landed at number 81 on the Billboard 200, selling almost 9,000 copies in its first week.

In June 2008, McLaughlin premiered his newest single "Beating My Heart" on the radio, released to mainstream radio on July 22, 2008.
