"Let it be our first concern to 'humble ourselves under God's mighty hand, that he may lift us up in due time' (1 Peter 5:6). We must confess that in all these things He has punished us less than our iniquities deserve (Ezra 9:13). With that in mind, we can compose ourselves to bear His hand with patience, to glorify His name by submission to His will, and to align ourselves with His gracious plan."
