Whom Do I Long For?

Reading John 4:1-26 this morning...

The woman at the well:

• Have I taken another husband?

• Do I accept, tolerate, consent, and resign myself to the things of this world?

• Have I received something …within...that doesn't belong to me?

Jesus said again and again…

'It is I;

it is I;

it is I who am highest;

it is I whom you love;

it is I whom you delight in;

it is I whom you serve;

it is I whom you long for, whom you desire;

it is I whom you mean; it is I who am all…"
